-8° Fahrenheit on the way to work this morning. The truck would not stay running and did not get to operating temp despite a twenty minute warmup and drive in.

it was 8 above on wakeup today here. That was cold enough!
But really the Dakota (?) wasn't running right in the cold, and no warmup? Your antifreeze up to snuff, t stat is good, and coolant temp sensor that feeds the ECU ok?

I gotta do some work on the cooling system and the idle air controller is fuckered. I know that much for sure; just completely forgot that I knew about that when the weather was warm enough to do something about it :|

pull the IAC and clean it up with brake clean, but if it is still screwed if you just disconnect it it should run ok, but the idle may be high. When it is warm, of course

Yeah I'll forget to disconnect it too. I think, since we have a forty degree week coming up, I may just get the damned thing replaced.
I also have to flush the trans and slave cylinder :(

This reminds me that I hate my car around 0 degrees. Hasn't happened yet this year, but when it does the butt warmers refuse to turn on until the inside of the car is warmed up a little.
